Lately I saw an interesting YouTube video about certain companies that specialize there services around the selling of fossils. This can be skeletons of fishes, dinosaurs or other animals or even stone-wood or stone teeth of animals.
In general I noticed that there seems to be a large group of fossil collectors and fossil- interested people around which makes this scheme general into a good setup for a probably profitable investment.
Fossils are usually collected in the earth, whereas when some spots does provide certain fossils and dry out later it can be expected that the price of mentioned fossils will most likely rise and a profit can be achieved.
Following things have to be observed when investing into fossils:
- Invest only in quality pieces maybe with additional remarks of detailed spot location and time
- Buy from secure sources like specialized online dealers to avoid scams
- Look for more rare fossils then fossils which are available everywhere and in high quantities
- Consider secure storage
- Diversify at least to a certain degree
In cases where supply dries out quickly it is likely that an ROI of more than 100% could be archived with individual fossils but take also into account that this differs for every fossil from case to case.
Good luck at investing!
